This trophy has been designed for the Kan Tai-keung Design Award in 2012. Within its design a few aspects should be highlighted: Firstly, the overall shape and usage of clear lines and angles emphasize towards the letter K and therefore the name of the competition. Secondly, each side has placed either a foot and inch, or chinese ruler called ‘chi’ on it. This way, it contains different cultures and scales. Thirdly, the proportion of the top and bottom part are 62:100, which equals the golden ratio. This way it gives the trophy a harmonious form and shadow. Last but not least, the trophy can be put in two ways, lying or standing, to offer the winner some option to display it. Unlike the years before, the design of the award hasen't been changed since it was introduced in 2012.
